Frédéric Godbout, CFA

Originally from Granby in the Eastern Townships, Frederic is the 3rd generation entrepreneur of his family to strive and invest in the commercial and residential real estate sector.

Frederic’s professional career led him to work for renowned national and international real estate institutions, acquiring an indispensable experience in the industry.

He has worked within the department of commercial finances for First National enterprise where he obtained a rich experience regarding the financial aspect of the real estate industry. While working at First National, Frederic participated in more than a hundred financial transactions in many categories of property assets.

Thereafter, Frederic worked for more than 6 years for Ivanhoé Cambridge, a branch of the Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec. Ivanhoé Cambridge has become one the 10 most important real estate firm in the world. Frederic rose through their ranks and became Director of one of their leading investment team. Working along with the finest professionals of the industry within this notorious enterprise, Frederic had the opportunity to work on many of the most important real estate transactions in America. His passage at Ivanhoé Cambridge is one the biggest highlights of his career.

Frederic gave his resignation to Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2012 to co-found Atwater Properties with his brother, Alexandre Godbout colliding their complementary expertise and their solid experience in real estate.

Frederic completed his bachelor degree in Finance and Economy, with honors, at McGill University in 2004. He also has de CFA title.
